So I released a solo record in 2012 that didn’t really go anywhere, obviously this is soul destroying. I didn’t really know what to do. I had spent the last 10 years of life trying to create music for myself, yet reality eventually catches up. Then one day out of the blue I get a call from Hezron Chetty, a great violinist and all round good guy. He said ‘why not let’s meet up for a jam’. The rest is history, in 2013 we played close on 200 shows together, toured the country and released an ep under the name The Incidentals and, where doing music full time. Hezron also helped me start the events company Groundsweep Productions, which he decided to leave due to music commitments. In 2014 we both felt it was time to get back to pushing our solo careers, yet we still gig together from time to time and collaborate on events or recordings.
