Sarah Dawson is an amazing singer/songwriter who was just always too shy to play. One day I saw her quietly strumming away and singing, yet she hardly ever showed anyone her obvious talent. I encouraged her to play more, and then all of a sudden she started writing all these great songs, which I get to play the banjo over. We are currently working on our debut ep which is being produced by the awesome Wren Hinds. This act really does have a different aesthetic entirely to anything else I do and I really think it’s the dynamic of a girl and a boy jamming together. It just makes things a little more special. I also love the fact that we through a few African rhythms in the mix. Totally Durban style, it’s kind of like indie-folk meets afro-pop.
